Press release:

Silver Glass Productions, along with Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse, is bringing the distinguished poet, playwright, actress and singer/songwriter Aleshea Harris to the monthly event New Seeds.

Harris will be sharing some of her award winning poetry at the monthly event that features inspiring art performances and enlightening lectures from the feminist perspective.

The event will be held on September 17, 2010 at 8 pm at Sacred Grounds Coffeehouse located at 4819 E. Busch Blvd. in Tampa, FL. The event will feature a guest lecture by Author Whitney Bauman, followed by award-winning poetry performed by Aleshea Harris.

Harris is an actress, playwright, poet and singer-songwriter. She earned a B.A. in Theatre from the University of Southern Mississippi and has performed on various stages in various capacities in the Tampa Bay and beyond.  Aleshea has shared her spoken word poetry at The Studio@620, American Stage Theatre, The Knoxville Poetry Slam, First Night St. Pete and Sacred Grounds Poetry Slam. Her poetry has been featured in the award winning short film God of the Ground and her own solo play Oddie, which received rave reviews at the Orlando Fringe Festival.
